While most dashboards show charts, this interface helps analysts interpret, justify, and defend workforce intervention decisions by linking evidence, uncertainty, and rationale in a single, auditable workspace.
Context
Policy analysts often work with data that is:
noisy (e.g., unemployment claims)
lagged (e.g., survey releases)
forward-looking but uncertain (e.g., WARN notices)
Analysts need a structured way to:
assess signals,
interpret implications,
articulate justification, and
preserve a defensible record of reasoning.
This interface explores how design can support that workflow.
Problem Statement
Standard dashboards do not:
surface how evidence connects to decisions,
capture uncertainty and its impact on judgment,
or support analysts in drafting defensible justifications that can be reviewed later.
The challenge was to design an interface that reduces cognitive load by:
structuring signals,
making provenance explicit,
and linking evidence directly to reasoned conclusions under uncertainty.
